Every piper has a few - or a lot of - chanter reeds lying around that they can't play. Maybe the reeds squeal, or they wobble, or they are too sharp/flat. Most are probably too hard. They are good reeds but they sit in the 'can't use' box because you're not sure how to get them to play well for you.
It's an unnecessary waste of money to discard reeds that, with a little work, will play perfectly well. Chris knows how to get them playing and if you come to a reed revival, he'll show you how to do it as well!
The reeds do not have to be Apps reeds and at no time will you be asked to name the maker. The purpose of the workshop is to learn to adjust your reeds so they play well for you. Progress at your own pace, with your own reeds. Will all reeds be saved? Maybe not. But the techniques you learn, will be with you for your entire piping career.
I've scheduled a variety of times and days so you should find a fit for you, no matter where you are in the world. So pick a time, bring your old reeds, and revive!
